I did not post a payday mixtape for september, simply because I celebrated by birthday in a place far far away. That’s how it can go.

… So Kenny Dixon jr (Moodymann) and his friends in the Detroit House music scene are truly inspiring to me. Apart from the man of the moment, I am thinking of artists  such as Andres (aka DJ Dez), Kyle hall, Omar S, Theo Parrish, Kerri Chandler, Scott grooves and the likes (find a nice little list here). In any way, this mixtape is all about Moodymann. To kick off the weekend, please enjoy this absolute excellent set from the Rex club in Paris from 1995.
