I did not visit any conference talk yesterday for different reasons, but today I did. The name of the talk: “What every artist needs to know: Contracts”.
It was an interesting talk basted on a real case dispute between Martin Garrix, his record label Spinnin’ Records and his manager who happened to be the owner of the same record label. The dispute served as a lessons learned for those of us in the audience, with a bunch of bullets detailing what to think of and how to handle certain things as a newcomer in the business.
Well worth the time.
Read about the case here. For more details I have to refer to the all so powerful Google, of any other search provider that you might use.
